UN WEPS
As Gürok Group, we signed the UN Women's Empowerment Principles in 2024 to contribute to women's participation in business life, to more equitable societies, and to the achievement of international goals in development, sustainability and human rights. LAV, one of our group brands, became a UN WEPs signatory as well in 2015. We established internal working groups by the roadmap we created in the light of the UN WEPs. Each year, we develop new internal and external projects to extend these principles to all our branches.

WOMEN’S EMPLOYMENT
We develop exclusive projects to increase the percentage of our female employees and managers to 50% in all our branches. As a reflection of our corporate culture, we support the education of female students through our social responsibility activities in order to expand our gender equality efforts to society

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
We provide scholarships, grants and training programs focusing on social & gender equality.
- With our brand “LAV”, we develop projects to increase the percentage of female engineers. As part of the Anatolian Scholars Project, we provide educational support to two female students from Koç University. As the Gold Sponsor of the STEM-A project, which we have implemented in cooperation with TUSIAD since 2018, we contribute to raising new generations with high scientific and technological competencies. In 2019, the project enabled 350 students from 13 different schools to explore innovative technologies we use in our manufacturing process.
- In collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, we provide child abuse awareness training for our employees at Ali Bey Hotels & Resorts. We host social and cultural events for primary school students during LÖSEV National Awareness Week for Children with Leukemia and Disability Awareness Week.
- With JOALI Maldives, we organize vocational training and social entrepreneurship studies for women and girls.
- While contributing to the economic independence of women through the Joy of Empowering and Women of JOALI projects, we also support women who are interested in art through the Women in Art project.

HEALTH SEMINARS
We held health seminars called “Gürok Sağlıkta Buluşalım”, hosting specialist doctors & healthcare professionals every month to inform our employees about healthy living.

GÜROK ACADEMY PROGRAMS
We support our employees’ potential with our Gürok Academy training programs. Building mutual trust through transparent communication, we offer our colleagues a fair, safe and peaceful work environment. We take part in career days and Turkey Engineering Career Fair to meet young talents and introduce our company & culture to university students. As part of our sponsorship activities we work with university clubs to pass on the experience and knowledge of our current employees to future generations. We share career opportunities in the Gürok Group companies with new graduates and young professionals.

YILDIZ EDUCATION PROJECT
We are dedicated to helping raise new generations that will carry us forward. Starting in 2006, we have supported our employees’ children for a better future with the Yıldız Education Project, named after Ms. Yıldız Güral. We have provided scholarships & courses for more than 600 students in 4 years, to prepare students for exams, to improve their self-confidence through social skills, and to help them grow into contributing members to society.

STEM PROJECT
Supporting the “STEM-A” Project in collaboration with TUSIAD since 2018 as the Gold Sponsor, we have been aiming to become one of the countries that produce state-of-the-art technologies. And contribute to an open-minded generation with high scientific and technological competencies. As part of the project, we organized a factory tour in 2019 and allowed 350 students from 13 different schools to explore the technologies we develop & use in our manufacturing processes.

KINDERGARTENS
To support egalitarian education, we built “Hediye Güral” Kindergarten and delivered it to the Kütahya Provincial Directorate of National Education on September 2, 2008, through the Kütahya Governorate.

SCHOLARS PROJECT
With the Anatolian Scholars Project, we provide educational support for two female students from Koç University, as part of our social improvement efforts rooted in social equality.

“RIZA GÜRAL EDUCATION FIRST FOR THE FUTURE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
As Gürok Group, we have implemented the "Rıza Güral Education First for the Future Scholarship Fund" in cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV). The supporters for this scholarship fund are Gürok Group, LAV, GCA, Ali Bey Hotels & Resorts and Gürok Kiremit. We aim to provide scholarships to 700 students in 10 years with the fund that we will provide gratuitous scholarship support to students studying in Kütahya and Antalya, where we operate.

AĞAÇKÖY PROJECT
As Gürok Group, we support primary and secondary school students' Arduino Robotic Coding and Lego Mindstorm Robotic programming trainings in Kütahya, Ağaçköy. In the project, which started in 2018, 94 students were introduced to programming and robotic coding. Students exhibited their projects at the TUBITAK Science Fair held in March 2020. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the Ağaçköy school team won the second place in the Scratch category within the scope of the Techno Gediz Competitions organized by the Gediz District National Education Directorate. Support for the project will continue in the coming years.
