The Renovated Sports Hall Will Bear the Name of Rıza Güral
An opening ceremony was held for the “Rıza Güral Sports Hall,” renovated with the support of Gürok Group at the Germiyan Campus of Kütahya Health Sciences University (KSBÜ). Rebuilt to contemporary standards with Gürok Group’s contribution of TRY 20 million under the donation protocol signed in May 2025, the facility will serve as an important sports and social living space not only for university students but also for the youth of Kütahya.
The ceremony held at KSBÜ Germiyan Campus was attended by Kütahya deputies, provincial protocol members, representatives of judicial and administrative authorities, political party representatives, academics, business community representatives, and numerous guests. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, KSBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tekin presented plaques to Gürok Group Chair of the Board Rıza Güral and Gürok Group Vice Presidents of the Board Erol Güral and Esin Güral Argat in recognition of their contributions to the renovation of the sports hall. With its modern infrastructure, the Rıza Güral Sports Hall will host basketball, volleyball, and various indoor sports activities while strengthening KSBÜ’s sports infrastructure through its multi-purpose areas, training opportunities, and accessible design.
“It Will Become a Meeting Point Where Young People Experience the Spirit of Achieving Together”
In his speech, Gürok Group Vice President of the Board Erol Güral said:
“Today, as we gather for the opening ceremony of the Kütahya Health Sciences University Rıza Güral Sports Hall, we are not simply opening a sports facility. In fact, today we are sharing a sense of loyalty and belonging. At the same time, we are expressing our gratitude for all that we have achieved together over the years. Knowing that my father Rıza Güral’s name will live on in a place where young people develop themselves, strive, and dream is an indescribable source of pride and a deeply emotional feeling for me. I believe that his values, work discipline, and love for these lands will inspire all the young people who will practice sports here from now on. The strength of a society does not depend solely on industry, technology, or economic success. The true strength of societies lies in raising healthy, self-confident, and hopeful young people. If we can provide our youth with meaningful spaces and touch their dreams, then we can truly leave a lasting legacy. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful project — our university administration, academics, employees, and all our teammates who supported this initiative. I hope that the Kütahya Health Sciences University Rıza Güral Sports Hall will host many achievements and continue to add value to this city for many years to come.”

Gürok Group Vice President of the Board Esin Güral Argat expressed her thoughts with the following words:

It is extremely valuable for us that our youth experience Kütahya as a ‘livable university city.’ We sincerely believe that this facility will bring vitality to our university’s social life and become an important attraction point for students. It is also a great honor for us that this meaningful facility bears the name of our group’s founder and our father, Rıza Güral. He was always someone who made it a principle to create value for these lands. Having his name live on through a project that contributes to the development of young people is very meaningful for us. As Gürok Group, we say: ‘Think Unlimited, Act Brave, Do Good.’ We wholeheartedly believe that our young people will grow into courageous and productive individuals guided by this understanding. I wish the Rıza Güral Sports Hall to be beneficial for our university, our city of Kütahya, and all young people.”
