Gürok Group continues to expand the local supplier ecosystem in Kütahya. Esin Güral Argat, Vice President of the Board of Gürok Group, stated that the Group currently works with 900 active local suppliers in the city and emphasized that purchases from Kütahya-based suppliers amounted to nearly €22 million in the first seven months of 2026, saying, “Every purchase we make from Kütahya is value that stays in this city.”

While Gürok Group continues the journey that began in Kütahya in 1948 with its global brands, it also continues to increase its contribution to the city’s production ecosystem every year. A significant portion of the goods and services required across its business lines, ranging from manufacturing and tourism to construction and fast-moving consumer goods, is sourced from companies based in Kütahya.

Emphasizing that the local supply chain is a strategic priority for the Group, Esin Güral Argat said:

“While strengthening our supplier ecosystem, we also place great importance on developing local capabilities in Kütahya and supporting sustainable development. Every purchase we make from Kütahya is value that stays in this city. When one of our suppliers expands its capacity, obtains a new certification, or increases its employment, it creates value for the city. That is why we do not see our supply chain merely as a cost item, but as a development tool that strengthens Kütahya’s production capabilities. As a Group competing in global markets, we support our suppliers in taking their businesses to the next level in line with our global standards. In this way, as we grow, we also contribute to the growth of Kütahya’s industrial ecosystem.”

“We work with 900 active suppliers in Kütahya”

Sharing the latest figures on Gürok Group’s procurement volume in the city, Esin Güral Argat said:

“As part of our 2026 fiscal year, we currently work with 900 active local suppliers in Kütahya. This is not merely a supplier list; it also serves as a map of the city’s production capacity. In the first seven months of 2026, we made approximately €22 million worth of purchases from our Kütahya-based suppliers. Over the five-year period since 2020, we have increased our procurement volume in the city by 60%. With the pace we have achieved this year, we expect to exceed the €31 million volume we reached for the full year of 2025. The real story behind these figures is this: the network we have built in Kütahya is a value chain that fuels the city’s economic dynamism.”

“We produce in Kütahya and export to more than 140 countries worldwide”

Pointing out that the value produced in Kütahya has a strong presence in global markets, Esin Güral Argat said:

“Today, through our LAV brand, the world’s fifth-largest table glass producer, we export to more than 140 countries, while our glass packaging brand GCA operates in more than 40 markets. We are among the leading companies contributing to Türkiye’s exports. The fact that the products reaching 140 countries are supported by the efforts of suppliers from Kütahya is one of the most valuable aspects of this picture. In other words, the value produced in this city has become not only a part of Kütahya’s economy, but also a part of Türkiye’s export strength.”

“With 2,500 employees, we touch the lives of 10,000 people”

Highlighting the employment generated by Gürok Group in Kütahya, Esin Güral Argat said:

When their families are taken into account, this means that we directly touch the lives of approximately 10,000 people. For us, it is not only the number of jobs that matters, but also their quality.
