The Green Dot Student Awards, organized for the third time this year by the CEVKO Foundation, were presented to their winners at a ceremony held with the main sponsorship of GCA one of the companies operating under the Gürok Group and a pioneer in Turkey’s glass packaging industry. The event evaluated innovative projects developed by university students in the fields of packaging design, waste management, and environmental social responsibility, showcasing the potential of young people to transform their sustainability vision into tangible solutions.

Organized within the scope of the traditional Green Dot Awards held by the CEVKO (Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Recovery) Foundation, this year’s Green Dot Student Awards ceremony took place at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building. At the third edition of the event, students from different universities collaborated on joint projects, and several projects received awards in multiple categories once again demonstrating the growing interest of young people in environmental transformation, with GCA as the main sponsor.

Students Awarded in Three Categories

Awards were presented in three categories: Packaging Eco-Design, Waste Management Systems and Applications, and Environmental Social Responsibility Practices. This year, 12 students from 9 universities earned awards through both individual and group submissions. Notably, several projects ranked in more than one category, and students from different institutions collaborated on joint initiatives. The Green Dot Student Awards aim to strengthen university industry cooperation and enhance young people’s awareness of sustainability.
